Judy Zeidler loved to cook, eat, teach, entertain and travel, collecting delicious recipes and lifelong friends along the way. She was well-known as a food authority on kosher cuisine and cooking, a journalist, an author and a teacher. Her enthusiasm was contagious.

She believed that the shared enjoyment of food and wine is one of the most fulfilling elements in life and that cooking and entertaining should be fun. Through her cooking classes she thrived on inspiring her students to cook and entertain at home. She was never too busy to open her kitchen and her heart to donate cooking classes to benefit charitable organizations.

Judy was a nationally syndicated cooking columnist for the Los Angeles Times, a regular contributor to “The Jewish Journal” and “Tribe” magazines, the host of the Jewish Television Network show Judy’s Kitchen and author of numerous cookbooks. She and her husband were co-owners of many well-known Los Angeles restaurants including Citrus, the Broadway Deli, Capo, Cora’s, the Brentwood and served as consultants to Zeidler’s Café in the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. She was often asked to be a guest on national television and radio programs and served on the board of several food and wine societies.
